Supporting our community

  • The next monthly meeting of the WCC will take place 7pm on Wednesday 1 June at the Brearley Room at the AMP.

Who we are and what we do

Waverley Community Council consists of 7 elected councillors who serve for a five year term. The first elections were uncontested in May 2019, when the WCC was created. The next elections to the Community Council will take place in May 2024.

The Community Council Meetings are normally held on the 1st Wednesday of each month - see the diary of meetings for more information.

Currently the WCC meets in the AMP Technology Centre, off Brunel Way. As the WCC meetings are mostly in the evenings, there is no reception service. Access to the AMP is therefore through the rear door. The Clerk will usually be there 10-15 minutes before the meeting starts to welcome residents. Once the meeting has commenced, there will be no-one to let later comers into the building.

For further information relating to the services offered by the Community Council please contact the Clerk who will be happy to give advice and assistance.

Councillors

Our councillors are elected or co-opted, if you would like to become a councillor or find out more about what they do then please contact the Clerk to the Council.

Members Code of Conduct

Further to the Localism Act 2011 Waverley CC is obliged to adopt a code of conduct. The Local Government Association produced a new Code of Conduct in 2021, which was adopted by RMBC who investigate alleged breaches of the Code. Thus Waverley CC adopted this new Code as well.
