Snow ready for Xmas?

As I mentioned last month, the majority of the roads in Waverley are not adopted by RMBC. The Borough council focus' on gritting roads leading to fire stations/hospitals and cover bus routes.

The roads usually gritted by Harworth are Highfield Lane and Lescar Road.

January litter pick

Waverley Community Councillor are holding a community litter pick on Saturday 15 January.

We will be meeting at 10:30am in the Wintergreen car park, and pick for an hour to an hour and a half.

Drainage works end of Stephenson Way/ Lescar Road

On 24 November the WCC highlighted that Howard Civil Engineering are undertaking the groundworks at the Olive Lane site.

Their latest newsletter on these works is now available. It highlights the work commencing tomorrow, on the drainage works towards the end of Stephenson Way, close to the junction of Stephenson Way/Lescar Road.

Throwbag - Catcliffe Corner pond

Throwbag - Catcliffe Corner pond

A throw bag has been added at Catcliffe corner pond in the event that someone ends up in the water. There are instructions on the board about how to use the 'throw bag' and a QR code for more information.

The Land Trust intend to place another throw bag off the permissive red shale path between the bridge over the River Rother and the Lakes in the Spring of 2022.

I hear the Events Team need a few more elves to help spread the Christmas spirit across the estate. On Wed 1 December the Christmas tree which Harworth donate every year needs a few baubles adding.
