As you may be aware resurfacing works are planned from 10 May for four days on Waverley Walk and Cherry Wood Way. These roads are owned by the developer Avant, and some iron works have commenced on the road ahead of the resurfacing.

The WCC's Annual meeting is on Thursday 5 May at 6:30pm. This will be followed by the usual WCC Monthly meeting at 7pm. As a one off the location for these meetings is the Sebastian Coe Suite, Holiday Inn Hotel Rotherham, S60 2XL

For those residents who are interested in the planning application which proposes a change from two, 2 form schools to one three form school. There would be a possible 1 form school subject to the trigger point being over 3400 homes for the additional 1 form school. The WCC approached RMBC regarding the school placement situation for Waverley children at the Waverley Junior Academy. The response provided on Friday is below. Additionally, the WCC will be discussing this matter at the May meeting.

Last week the WCC have received confirmation from Harworth that the permissive Red Shale path alongside the River Rother in Waverley is now open.
The WCC is now aware that this re-opened route is less than picturesque with builders rubbish. Harworth have alerted Avant and VHE to clear the developer waste from this section of path, including the drainage channels down to the lake.

The WCC have received confirmation from Harworth that the permissive Red Shale path alongside the River Rother in Waverley is now open.
Harworth said that are likely make some temporary closures to the path through the year for any potential snagging and also to implement the detailed landscaping in the appropriate season. When the WCC is notified of this, it will be passed it on.

A reminder that the Annual Residents meeting will be hosted by the Waverley Community Council on Wednesday 20 April from 6-8pm in the Bessemer room at the AMP.
This year we will focus on the Community Centre, sharing with residents the survey results and the initial plans for the space.

A smaller turnout than we'd hoped for with the second community litter pick this weekend. It did give the Councillors a chance to talk to residents on a one-to-one basis in the sunshine. In addition, we also collected seven bags of rubbish!
