The Community Council has been engaging with RMBC for action on the issue of lack of placements at the Waverley Junior Academy. We attended a cabinet meeting at Rotherham Town Council, wrote to Rotherham Council about how the calculations were made, and spoke with Harworth about this as well as one of the local MPs.

The WCC has been provided with RMBC's updated Section 106 (Town and Country Planning Act 1990) agreement for Waverley. This is the legal document between RMBC and Harworth which stipulates all build conditions for the development of Waverley.

As has been previously mentioned in the press David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes have purchased a plot of land within Waverley. This is the land between Central Park and the Lakeside, they have called it Waverley Waterside.

For clarity with the number 73 bus route: the early morning, evening and Sunday journeys on this service are funded by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. These journeys will no longer be available from Sunday 24 July 2022.

The WCC has been informed by the Rotherham Transport Group, that the number 73 bus route will no longer be served after the current contract expires at the end of the academic year. South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority have invited the provider to extend the current contract and also invited alternative operators to take on this route. Unfortunately, this has been unsuccessful.
