RMBC have notified the WCC of a new planning application.
RB2022/1510. Land off Highfield Lane. Reserved matters application details of landscaping, scale, access, external appearance and layout for the erection of 156 dwellinghouses (reserved by outline RB2017/0743) for Harworth Estate (Waverley Prince) Ltd

Last year residents asked to contribute to the discussion on how the precept is spent. Obviously, there are some running costs to any organisation; however, we will have over the fiscal year financially supported the Waverley community in a variety of ways including;
- The Jubilee event
- Two vehicle activate speed cameras
- More bike shelters at the local school

The WCC are holding another litterpick, this time we are starting at the Community Garden.
We'll be meeting at 10am for a 10:30am start on Sunday 9 October. All equipment will be supplied, and all ages are welcome. You can also meet your Waverley Councillors too.

The next meeting of the Waverley Community Councillors is on Wednesday 5 October at 7pm at the AMP in the Brearly Room.
The agenda for the meeting and the previous draft minutes can be found on the website. As always you are welcome to attend. Please note that access to the AMP is at the side-door. Entry can be gained at 6:45pm onwards and the meeting starts promptly at 7pm.

A reminder that Stephenson Way will be closed from late Monday night/early Tuesday morning until close of play Friday 23 Sept.
There will be two-way traffic lights managing Lescar Road and the AMRC building throughout the closure.
Howard Civil Engineering apologises for any inconvenience, this is essential works.

On Sunday 18 September at 8pm, a minute's silence of reflection will be observed in Waverley near the memorial bench off Whirlow Chapel Road/ Ashbourne Way by the Waverley Community Council, led by the Chairman Councillor Jamie Baggaley.
