Bird Flu at Treeton Dyke
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council have reported a number of recent wild bird deaths (swans and geese) on its nature reserves to DEFRA. DEFRA have confirmed that birds collected from Treeton Dyke died from H5N1 Bird Flu. Getting ready for winter
The majority of the roads in Waverley remain unadopted by RMBC. The roads usually gritted by Harworth are Highfield Lane and Lescar Road.
Residents can grit paths or roads from the several yellow grit boxes around the estate which developers have sited. The Land Trust have agreed to refill the yellow grits bins.

Traffic Enforcement consultation - Sheffield Lane Catcliffe
Rotherham Council are asking for comments from residents on the proposed changes to enforce moving traffic offences in Rotherham. Rotherham Council will soon have the opportunity to apply for new civil powers to enforce moving traffic regulations under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

Who owns what
Harworth have provided a revised plan of the areas in Waverley which are managed by Harworth, the Land Trust or a developer.
More green areas including verges are now under the maintenance of the Land Trust. You can check out who manages your immediate green spaces on our website.

Rescheduled November meeting
The rescheduled November Waverley Community Council meeting is on Wednesday 30 November at 7pm at the AMP in the Brearly Room.

Totems at the Community Garden
Harworth have gifted two totem-type signs for the Community Garden. They were added to the garden yesterday.

WCC Planning Commitee and Monthly Meeting 2 November
The first meeting of the WCC Planning Committee is on Wednesday 2 November at 6:30pm at the AMP. The Committee will be discussing planning application RB2022/1510 Build to rent.
This will be followed by the full council meeting at 7pm. Both meetings will be at the AMP in the Brearly Room.
