You're welcome to join in by bringing your own spade and making a difference to the community garden, discuss matters with your councillors, or come along to say hello to us!

Grant scheme - one week left to apply

Submissions for the grant scheme should be sent to the Clerk by 5pm on Monday 22 November.

Information about the grants can be found on the website - www.waverley-cc.gov.uk/community-grants1.html, as well as a Word version of the forms to make form filling easier.

Remembrance Sunday

At 10:45am on Sunday 14 November, there will be an outdoor service at the Memorial Bench on Whirlow Chapel Road / Ashbourne Way. It will incorporate a 2-minute silence at 11:00am.This will be led by Rev Philip Barringer from the Rivers Team and the Chair of the Waverley Community Council, Cllr Baggaley will be laying the Wreath. Please do join us.

The Waverley Community Council grant scheme, round two is now open. All submissions should be submitted to the Clerk by 5pm on Monday 22 November. The applications will be reviewed at the December meeting.

Path drainage works at the far end of the Lakes

Path drainage works at the far end of the Lakes

The Land Trust have informed the WCC today, that the drainage works between the small lake and the landfill are due to start on Monday 25 October. The works will be to create drainage ditches, as plan A - to install pipes is on hold due to the shortage of building materials. Parking around Waverley Junior Academy

Rotherham Council have helpfully put out information about when to report a parking problem. There is a Traffic Regulation Order in effect around the Academy, which includes road markings. It means residents, including parents, can report the parking problems near the school.
