Gritting the roads in Waverley

The roads, which form the bus routes are gritted in Waverley. This includes Highfield Lane, Stephenson Way and Lescar Road (if they are open to buses, they will be gritted)

The yellow grit bins in Waverley have been left behind by various developers over the years for residents to use. Grit bin locations include top of Tideswell Walk, corner of Cressbrook Road with Stephenson Way, end of Rowsley Drive, Ashbourne Way (junction with Calver Way), one on Ashford Court, Waverley Walk, Autumn Fields and the bottom of Highfield Lane, near the traffic lights.

The salt grit was recently topped up by Harworth, and residents are welcome to use it.

If you wish to be a snow warden for Waverley, you can have a delivery of grit to spread on the pavements near you, more information can be found here: www.rotherham.gov.uk/winter-roads/snow-warden/1
