Another cold snap on its way

RMBC will only grit the roads they have adopted - (Mitchell Way, Stephenson Way, parts of Wensley Road, Ashbourne Road and Matlock Way as well as all of Parwich Court) so long as the criteria is met, which means Stephenson Way, as a bus route, usually gets gritted.

Harworth grit the full length of Highfield Land and Lescar Road, usually overnight and when the temperatures dip below a certain temperature.

Residents can become a snow warden. RMBC will provide the equipment (snow shovel, hi-vis) grit and some training all for free.

The grit bins across Waverley have been left behind by various developers over time for residents to use. Harworth have agreed to refill these once a year, and this occurred over the festive period.

At the January meeting Harworth agreed to fund 3 more grit bins for the WJA corner/ Autumn fields area and Catcliffe corner/pond area. We await their installation.
