Snow ready for Xmas?

As I mentioned last month, the majority of the roads in Waverley are not adopted by RMBC. The Borough council focus' on gritting roads leading to fire stations/hospitals and cover bus routes.

The roads usually gritted by Harworth are Highfield Lane and Lescar Road.

Residents can grit paths or roads from the several yellow grit boxes around the estate which developers have sited. The Land Trust have filled the yellow grits bins.

If you wish to become a Snow Warden on Waverley, RMCB will supply the following equipment to you as a volunteer;

• High visibility vest
• Suitable gloves
• Snow shovel
• Rock salt (25kg bags)
