Budget & Precept
Budget, adopted January 2023 (PDF, 40 Kb)
The Precept is that element of your Council Tax which is paid to Waverley Community Council.
Every year, the Community Council draws up a budget and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. This is usually finalised at the January Full Council meeting and a precept demand submitted to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC). RMBC co-ordinates the other demands from the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, South Yorkshire Police and themselves and calculates the Council Tax rate to be paid from 1st April of that year.

Community Infrastructure Levy
The Community Council is unlikely to received any Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) monies for the next thirty years, unless there are some changes to the Master Plan. The outline planning permission for the Master Plan was given to Harworth before the the Levy came into force. It was in force on 6 April 2010 through the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010, which were initially introduced by the Planning Act 2008.
